Budget:
Stewart Construction won the contract to upgrade three Vermont Air National Guard buildings: 80, 120, and 140. For Building 80, Stewart Construction created a new storefront entrance and conduct minor interior renovations. Stewart Construction added 7,300 sf and a new, built-up roof to Building 120, to house 4 new flight simulators. Building 120 also received interior renovations, including a reorganized floor plan and upgraded partitions to reduce sound transmission from the flight simulators. Stewart Construction crews added a basement stair access in Building 140, as well as reorganized the floor plan and adding a new interior spiral staircase. Both Building 120 and Building 140 received substantial mechanical and electrical upgrades. These upgrades provided automatic energy use reductions and helped the Guard continue to actively reduce their overall energy consumption. With one of the buildings located on the F-16 flight line, this project was done with the utmost care and preparation.
