Stewart Construction won the General Services Administration contract to replace the entire facade of the Region 1 North Service Center Federal Building in downtown Burlington. Stewart Construction installed 550 specially designed, blast resistance windows. The project required close coordination with the building’s tenants, including Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the Federal Division of Courts, and the US Post Office. Other elements of the project included replacing the brick facade and interior repairs. Stewart Construction completed the Federal Building contract in 2002.
