Beta Technologies, an emerging leader in the field of electric aircraft, was housed in an outdated and inadequate aircraft hangar. Stewart Construction was hired to design/build a renovation to an existing addition, creating a modern and functional open office space, manufacturing area and conference rooms. The exterior of the building was given a facelift with insulated metal panels, corten steel accents, and storefront windows. Inside, 250’ of 2 hour fire-rated windows connected the 2nd floor office space to the hanger, providing an incredible visual inside and out. Designed before Covid-19, and constructed amidst the pandemic, the project was able to efficiently pivot to provide better workplace health safety, meeting these challenges head on.
