CNL Sleep Labs at FAHC

Burlington, VT
Freeman French Freeman, Architects
Hospital Wing Renovation

Fletcher Allen needed a new location for their Clinical Neurophysiology Lab on the MCHV campus. CNL needed 6,000 sq. ft. of specialized space for clinical sleep studies and support staff. The existing fifth floor space needed complete demolition before construction could begin. Due to the brief construction window, multiple shifts were required to complete the work.

A highly engineered mechanical system was required to supply client-controlled comfort to the sleep rooms. The sleep labs were designed to allow each sleep patient to be monitored medically and visually. An important part of the project was ensuring light and noise reduction in every lab. High quality laboratory, staff and patient interview facilities fulfilled the further requirements of the lab.
